Begin your Law Enforcement Career by becoming a Correctional Office for the Union County Sheriff's Office. Our facility is 24/7 and houses up to 52 inmates. Our Correctional Officers are the moderators and guardians of the facility.
This position involves direct supervision and wellbeing of inmates in the jail, ensures that all jail procedures are carefully followed and monitored, resolves inmate complaints/requests within procedural guidelines, and performs other duties as assigned.
Correctional Officers are responsible for all jail operations which include but are not limited to the following;
Correctional officers must have the ability to multi-task & communicate with co-workers and supervisors effectively. Applicants must have basic computer skills. Applicants must be reliable and willing to work various shifts as assigned.
Qualifications
This role requires a dedicated individual who can work under pressure while ensuring the safety of all individuals within the correctional environment.
Expected hours: up to 30 hours per week
Starting Pay: $20-23 per hour (depending on experience) + shift differential for evening and overnight shifts.
